Campaign description

We met Hannelore and Frans during a tour through the mountains of central Namibia at the end of February 2009.
We stopped to overnight in their guest farm Rooiklip Guest Farm placed on the slopes of the Gamsberg Mountain, where they breed mainly sheeps and some horses. Their friendliness and openness made us immediately become friends.

So they told us of their project, already begun, about the construction of a kindergarten for children of families of workers who are employed within the boundless farm.

Their words, better than any other, sums up what we are doing:
‘What is the reason for something like this?
Children who were in a preprimary school hat a better chance for the beginning at school. That is the reason why we as Farmers feel obligate to give our Farm children a better life and chance in the community.’

Of course, Scintille immediately embraced this project, making an initial donation of $ 5000.00N and publicizing it through its website.

August 2009 - Update

We received from Lore and Frans the photos about the progress of the project, which we publish immediately: they worth more than thousands of words!
Another small spark that all of us helped to light on….
