Do you remember about Melitta and her ‘terrorists’? Thanks to a major donation, today the orphanage has a VW Combi Minibus!! But now another problem rises: how to find money for diesel and maintenance, so that it will last in the future and carry everything and everybody through Bushmenland?? We think that Scintille can try to solve this problem…

Update 22-08-08

During the last august visit to Mangetti Dune, we eventually had the opportunity to deliver to doctor Melissa Bosshart and teacher Elna Oosthuizen, Sun Lerners Support Program coordinators, the funds that Scintille collected for this important project. We think that the following letter received from our Namibian friends is enough for filling all of us with pride:

Mangetti Dune – Namibia, August 2008

This is to confirm that SCINTILLE made a donation of 5,000.00 N$ to the San Learners Support Program.

The money will be used for transport costs arising from the monthly transport of San Learners from Mangetti Dune to Grootfontein and back. All these learners attend secondary school (grade 8 to grade 12) in Grootfontein and Otavi. Further it will also help us to cover the costs arising from transportation Tb-patients from their villages to the health facilities.
